Mountaindale West Day Camp typically has two Health Supervisors on staff.  These are volunteers that are at least CPR and First Aid trained, and often are nurses or medical professionals.

  • Campers are welcome to bring their own sunscreen and / or bug spray to camp.  This needs to be kept in their bag and not shared with other campers, due to the possibility of allergies. Ideally, please apply these items to your campers before they arrive at the buses.

  • Epi-pens and inhalers can be carried by any camper who has a medical need. Please be sure that your medical form has information about your camper’s needs.

  • Any medication that is brought to camp is required to be in its original packaging with the camper's name on it.  You must fill out a Day Camp Medication Permission form in order for our Health Supervisor to give medication to any camper.  Medication and forms will be collected when campers arrive to camp on Monday morning.  Medication must stay with the Health Supervisor with the exception of EpiPens and inhalers.

  • We carefully limit who has access to your medical data.

The Medical form is typically provided to the Health Supervisor so they may have the information needed treat your camper. The core staff that has access to the registration system will have access to that data as well.

The Meet My Camper form will be provided to the adults in the leadership team for your camper’s unit. We recommend you provide any information that the adult leaders may require when working with your camper. This form is also viewable by the core staff who manage the registration system.

All printed forms with personal information are shredded at the end of camp.

Please contact us if you have questions about how your information is handled.
